Bernard's house - Day of the Tentacle style

I'm working on a DotT styled remake of Bernard's dining room. It's all digitally hand-drawn and I even traced and analysed the original backgrounds from DotT to get a general idea of how the layouts properly work.

It looks good and much better than the version of 2005. Looking forward for the finished version.

I just made the rough colour concept! I actually used the triadic colour scheme of blue, reddish orange and yellowish orange (though I kinda cheated and used normal orange in some places to match DotT's colour palette). I even had to make the door on the left smaller to match Bernard's height because before that, I thought Bernard would have to be shorter than the doors until I replayed DotT which then I realised I got it completely wrong.

Finished the colouring! Now all I have to do is decrease the size to 320x200 and clean up the edges.

Amazing work! The HD Version could be useful as well if someone want to create a high-resolution game instead of pixel art.

Actually, it's only intended for pixel art because if you look at some areas, they look kind of awkward and messy until they get reduced to pixel art. I understand what you mean though and the only way the BG can be used is if the tiny messy were smoothened out to make it look nicer.

I finally finished it! I think this is actually the closest to the style I ever got to.

It looks great. I think its a near perfect recreation of the Day of the Tentacle style.
